At Mission Salaam, we believe that everyone deserves access to safe and clean drinking water. Our mission is simple yet profound: to ensure that every individual in Yemen, especially those displaced from their homes, has access to the most basic and essential resource – clean water.
Yemen is facing a severe water crisis, exacerbated by conflict and displacement. The country is grappling with one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world. Thousands of families have been forced to leave their homes, seeking refuge in overcrowded camps and temporary shelters. Access to safe drinking water has become a critical challenge for these vulnerable populations.
The Alarming Water Needs:
Scarcity: Yemen is experiencing a scarcity of clean water due to damaged infrastructure and limited resources.
Health Risks: Contaminated water sources lead to the spread of waterborne diseases, posing significant health risks, especially to children and the elderly.
Impact on Communities: Without adequate clean water, communities suffer from poor hygiene, sanitation-related illnesses, and compromised overall health.
Mission Salaam stands at the forefront of the battle against Yemen’s water crisis.
